There are few argument made for blacks receiving the priesthood which could not also be made for women receiving it. Given the recently released Gospel Topic essay on Race and the Priesthood, would it be unthinkable that a similar essay addressing issues of gender may be released in years to come? What might that look like?

I think that point was made very clear in this blog post. Were you confused after reading, or did you just skip over the post and onto the representation of what an LDS retraction of institutionalized sexism might look like. I think the mock essay was thoughtful and accurate

Am I automatically condemned as a troll when I say I am not a fan of the way this parody is being passed around Facebook and elsewhere, with the initial paragraph stripped out and only the mimicry remaining? The author could have made his/her point without the deceptive physical layout.
This parody/satire shows that when it comes to women in the church we have a very long way to go. I can see how someone who read this without knowing it was parody would be deeply disappointed upon learning that the LDS church does not regard women as the parody portrays.
